Busy schedule today
Economic data and Fedspeak will add some volatility to the mix today.
Housing has been a tailwind for the US economy and the latest reading on prices from Case-Shiller is due at 1300 GMT (9 am ET).
An hour later, the Conference Board's consumer confidence report for June is due. Sentiment numbers surged after the election but have begun to retrace on the lack of progress in Washington.
At the same time, the June Richmond Fed manufacturing report is due. Expect it to be overshadowed.
At 1500 GMT (11 am ET), the Fed's Harker speaks on the economy in London. He was more tentative in his latest comments. The text of the speech will be released and there is an audience Q&A later.
The main event of the day comes at 1700 GMT (1 pm ET) when Fed Chairman Janet Yellen speaks in London. The event is an audience Q&A on global economic issues. There is no text.
