Housing starts rose to 582,000 at an annual rate versus expectations of a 530,000 rate.
Markets view this as good news but with huge inventories of unsold new homes across the country, that logic makes little sense to me.
EUR/USD has stabilized after a slide to 1.4063 and trades now at 1.4078.
