Forget Harvey, hurricane Irma is the new threat
The National Hurricane Center is out with its latest advisory and Harvey is now severely diminished. On the other side of the Atlantic, however, a new storm has formed and is tracking towards the Caribbean.
It's still far out but it's already a Category 2 storm and it's forecast to head directly west and grow into a Category 4 monster.
The forecast path points directly towards Puerto Rico and likely to hit it early next week.
One of the factors that could be giving oil a lift at the moment is speculation that the storm will later move into the Gulf and disrupt oil production.
Longer term path projections show it traveling anywhere from South of Cuba and into the Gulf or quickly North in a direction that could hard the East coast of the United States.
