The IMF has finally commented on Greece, but from the early headlines make it sound as though they remain on the outside looking in.

The fund stands ready to consider any request for financial assistance from any member country, it says in a statement via Reuters.

Makes you wonder whether the Europeans have allotted 1/3rd the cost of a bailout of Greece to the IMF with no input from the Fund itself? Reading between the lines, it certainly looks like it.

Let’s call the statement “non committal” .
