The economic calendar isn't going to be much of a factor today with US initial jobless claims as the lone North American indicators.

Fedspeak includes Kaplan at 1415 GMT and Clarida at 1430 GMT. Kaplan spoke on Tuesday and urged no further action on rates until the outlook was clearer. Clarida is discussing a paper on the global factor in the neutral rate.

In Portugal, former ECB vice-president (and ForexLive reader) Vitor Constancio talks about 20 years of the euro at 1600 GMT.

At 1800 GMT, the US sells 30-year bonds.
