ITALY DATA: Preliminary September HICP rose 0.5% m/m and +1.6% y/y, down
from +1.8% y/y in August and July, when the index posted the highest y/y
gains since December 2008.
–The main domestic index (NIC) fell 0.2% m/m, rising +1.6% y/y.
–Core inflation based on the domestic index rose 1.4% y/y, down from
+1.5% y/y the previous month.
–Net of energy, the NIC index gained 1.4%, the same rise registered in
August.
–Preliminary September ‘NIC’ data provides 1.4% acquired inflation for
2010.
