Salvini is insisting that the government will not budge, via Il Messaggero
With the Italian economy still not looking like it will recover from the recession-like growth at the end of last year, suggestions are that the government will look towards changing the budget down the road to accommodate the situation at hand.
But evidently - and as expected - they aren't willing to do so. As mentioned last year when the budget deficit target was agreed, at the end of the day it is just a 'target'. If the government insists on pursuing their policy measures, the actual budget deficit will without a doubt go beyond said 'target'.
