In the Sankei this morning (via Reuters), reporting on comments from Bank of Japan board member Yutaka Harada:
- Said the BOJ can wait on expanding stimulus further even if inflation does not hit the 2% target by the first half of next fiscal year
- "If we can see that inflation is approaching 2 percent, I don't think we need to step on the accelerator further"
- Says that as long as the broad price trend keeps improving there is no need to ease again
