Comments by Japanese prime minister, Shinzo Abe
- Real target is full employment, which has been reached
Exiting easing policy? Really?
Things are starting to get a bit messy for Japan and the BOJ as Abe wants to solidify the notion that "everything is fine" amid a potential double-election later in the year (which is why they're pushing for the sales tax increase). Meanwhile, you have Kuroda commenting that the BOJ still has more room for big stimulus.
Talk about being at odds, eh?
