Most financial markets take an incredibly well deserved 90 minute lunch break in Tokyo from 02:00 to 03:30 GMT. Don’t forget that most of these people have already worked two long hours in the morning and will work another 2 1/2 hours in the afternoon. So they definitely need a long lunch. Enough of my jealous ramblings.
EUR/JPY fell from 129.70 to 129.50 as soon as the official lunchtime was over; obviously somebody sitting on a flow until some liquidity returned.
