KOREA: South Korean bond issuance rose 1.3% in February from a month
earlier as more companies tapped the debt market to raise funds,
Yonhap News reports citing the bourse operator. Local governments, the
central bank and corporate issuers sold a total of 49.95 trillion won
($43.8 billion) worth of bonds last month, 750 billion won more than in
January, according to the Korea Exchange (KRX). The total amount is the
sum of bonds sold to the public and listed on the Seoul bourse, the
report says.
