Hillary Clinton falls behind but remains betting favourite
A poll from CNN/ORC has Donald Trump as preferred choice of voters ahead of the November election. In a one-on-one race with Clinton, he leads 48% to 45%.
Separately, a Morning Consult poll puts Trump ahead 44% to 40%. They attribute the swing towards Trump as a normal post-convention rise. They also say the Republicans are also falling in line behind Trump with 85% now saying they support him compared to 79% a week earlier.
In betting markets, Clinton is still in the lead with odds implying about a 70% chance she's in the White House next year with Trump at 30%.
