Lira, risk assets rally on word that US pastor may be released from house arrest by 15 August

But we're still awaiting official confirmation on that though. The tweet read "US PASTOR BRUNSON TO BE RELEASED FROM HOUSE ARREST BY AUG 15 - US EMBASSY IN ANKARA".

We're seeing USD/JPY jump to 110.60 and EUR/USD up to 1.1400 levels once again. At the same time, equities are paring losses across the board in both Europe and US. Nasdaq futures are even marginally higher at the moment.

Meanwhile, the lira has also regained some poise moving from above 7.00 to now trade around 6.80 levels.

Again, be careful in all of this. There is no official word yet but markets are already reacting. This may be a whole lot of nothing in the end.
