Last week, the People's Bank of China conducted its biggest weekly cash withdrawals since July
- Drained a net 420.1 billion yuan from the financial system
- Maturing reverse-repurchase agreements exceeded new issuance
- The benchmark money-market rate hit a 14-month high Thursday
- as central bank withdrawals added to pressure created by quarter-end demand from commercial lenders.

- China Manufacturing PMI (September): 50.4 (expected 50.5, prior 50.4)
