The major US stock indices moved higher in trading today. The S&P led the way, rising by 0.48%. The Nasdaq rose by 0.45%. The only blemish was the Russell 2000 of small caps which had a -0.29% decline.

The US bond market saw yields rise in trading today after a poor 30-year bond auction. In contrast yields in Germany and France declined on the day. This helped support the flow of funds out of the EUR and into the dollar.
