His speech in Berlin still ongoing
- Must be clear to Britain that the future of Europe is more important than Brexit
- Wants the future relationship with UK to succeed, but with trade fairplay
- UK has competent ministers who are aware of implications of Brexit, but some citizens did not understand the consequences before Brexit vote
- We will keep working even if there's no deal in 2 weeks with UK
- No agreement yet in terms of divorce bill, Irish border, and citizen rights
Okay, this is getting a little bit wayward now. Especially on that third note.
Just another reminder to everyone that even if a deal is struck on the bill, the major issue will still be the Irish border. That will not be a simple thing to resolve, unless Theresa May pulls another rabbit out of the hat.
