"The economy is bottoming but not bottoming out, as overall demand is still weak," said Larry Hu, head of China economics at Macquarie Securities Ltd. in Hong Kong. "As long as inflation pressure remains stable, PBOC still has space to pump in liquidity."

and

"Low inflation reflects a combination of subdued commodity prices, industrial overcapacity and weak demand," Bloomberg economist Fielding Chen wrote in a report. "That poses further downside risk to an already weak economy," he said, adding that the central bank could introduce more targeted easing.
