They’re basically holding an open auction, scuttling between the Conservatives and Labour to see who’ll give them the best deal. I’ve been listening to the political pundits on the telly this morning and no one seems to have a clue as to the likely outcome of the negotiations. I’m keeping my fingers crossed they’ll do the right thing and form a coalition with the Conservatives, putting Mr Cameron in his rightful place.
Feeling is we could have a decision as early as today.
Cable touch easier overnight, down at 1.4820 from a North American close Monday up around 1.4860.
