Equities waver a little to start the week as focus turns to Trump-Xi meet
Some mild optimism is observed among Asian equities but sentiment around the region is more suggestive of flat tones as investors gear up for a big week in markets with US and China resuming trade talks before Trump and Xi will be meeting in Osaka on 28-29 June.
As such, trading sentiment remains rather mixed for the moment with traders still finding their footing to begin the new week. USD/JPY sits at 107.40 currently, a little higher on the day despite Treasury yields slipping to their lows currently. 10-year yields are down by 1.5 bps to 2.038% but US equity futures are still posting gains of 0.3% for now.
