Tokyo's main index closes the day higher 7 Dec 2017

The index posts a rebound after yesterday's major drop. Risk sentiment in equities are starting to shift back as tech shares led gains in the US session yesterday. And that is following through in Asia as well. Most equity indices are up in the region.
Earlier, the ASX 200 closed higher by 0.54%. The Hang Seng index is also up 0.49% on the day fueled by gains in Tencent Holdings.
Meanwhile, USD/JPY is inching higher close to session highs of 112.53 on the day as broad dollar strength is creeping across the board.
