University of Michigan consumer sentiment survey for June is expected to show that your average American remains upbeat
It's the Michigan survey that sees the week out at the top of the hour and the index is expected to rise to 91.5 from 90.7 in May
While the headline is upbeat current conditions are set to fall to 96.5 from 100.8
There's no forecast for inflation expectations which stand at 2.85 for both 1 and 5 years
This survey can be a funny one. If the market is in the right mood we'll get a move on a decent variation. If it's not we'll do nothing
USDJPY is looking heavy once more so if we do get a very good number that the market reacts to, we could well see this week's underlying bearish sentiment in the buck knock back any gains
