Obama is on the populist war-path, railing against fat cat bankers and extorting them to lend more to small business. The bankers left, suitably chastened for the cameras.
Looks like Obama is taking a page from Gordon Brown’s playbook. Brown has seen a bump up in the polls since hammering banks in the latest budget. Obama is in political freefall, so he looks to be co-opting some ideas from across the pond.
