ONS faster economic activity indicator hints at mixed picture for UK Q1 performance

The data mainly focuses on VAT and road traffic indicators

Quite frankly, by reading the report it is leaving me more confused than ever about trying to understand what the data is trying to show. But deciphering the graphs show that the indicators are pointing to an average performance in UK economic activity for Q1.

That said, I wouldn't attach too much accuracy to the data considering the methodology behind it - using VAT and road traffic as indicators.

In short, I reckon this isn't going to be a release that matters all too much for markets and/or the pound unless they make it more friendly for currency traders. We're not rocket scientists, we're here to buy or sell.
