PIMCO’s Total Return Fund had $5.4 billion in outflows in September, lowering its assets to $250 billion, according to Reuters.
The size of that fund just blows my mind. A $1 billion hedge fund is a decent size. That’s a large drawdown and bonds have put in a great performance in the past two weeks but with that level of selling there is no way it can continue. Near 2.50% is the time to short bonds (at 2.59% today).
