This is a curious story on officials apparently ignoring the wishes of the President
- After leaving the G7 Summit (held in Canada in June, Trump tweeted to say he had instructed US officials not to endorse the communique he had agreed to
- Now, though, its emerged that those instructions have never been acted upon
- Which means the US did endorse the agreement, after all

We all have become accustomed to the US President tweeting out abrupt changes in policy. On trade issues, and such. On trade, at least, there has been follow up.
Is this a new source of uncertainty for markets? "Is this tweet going to be acted on?" sort of thing.
