From reuters: China daily steel output up 2.5 pct in early April – CISA

(CISA is China Iron and Steel Association)

  • China’s average daily steel output is estimated at 2.12 million tons in the first 10 days of April (Which, Reuters reports, is up 2.51% over the last 10 days of March)

China’s steel mills have been producing in excess of 2 million tonnes of steel per day since mid-February, despite concerns about soaring stockpiles and weak demand.

Those bullish AUD would like to see growth figures from industries like steel producers in China. I’m not sure that this is much of a positive report, though.
