South China Morning Post. Fake news?

The South China Morning Post is out with a story saying:

  • Donald Trump probably planning for tariffs on all Chinese goods after the G20

They cite comments made to press where he said:

The decision to put punitive duties on Chinese goods not currently subject to 25 per cent taxes would be made "over the next two weeks, probably right after the G20," Trump told reporters during a D-Day ceremony in Europe.

Of course, "the decision" could also be to not put tariffs on the remaining $325B of China exports to the US. So the headline could be "fake news".

The G20 will take place on June 28-29.
