Scottish leaders are hankering for a vote with data showing it contributes more to the government coffers than it gets back but the poll numbers aren’t there.
The latest Guardian/ICM poll reflects that uncertainty. About 30% of Scots now support the break from the union that has been in place since 1707 — down from a recent 40% high.
