It has been blissfully quiet these last few weeks as the dean of the Seante Media Caucus, microphone-loving chuck Schumer of New York, remains the source of great agitation in California where the now-defunct IndyMac was based. Schumer is being blamed for sparking a run on the bank…

California’s attorney general, former Democratic Governor, Jerry Brown, is reviewing a request by former employees of IndyMac to investigate whether a letter from New York senator, Chuck Schumer, to the FDIC questioning the bank’s viability triggered its collapse.

In the letter to Jerry Brown 51 former IndyMac workers wrote: “From the day (Schumer’s) letter was made public on June 26 until the closure of the bank, a run on the bank took place and the failure became inevitable.”
