CHF is strongest. AUD is weakest.

As North American traders enter for the day, the CHF is the strongest currency, while the AUD is the weakest.

The FOMC inserted the words "next meeting" into the statement yesterday and that led to a sharp rise in the dollar. Today the greenback is mixed - rising against the CAD, and AUD, and falling against the EUR and CHF. The GBP, JPY and NZD are all little changed.

Today, the first look at 3Q GDP will be an interesting read. Economists estimates from Bloomberg have the average estimate at 1.6% with a range from 0.9% to 2.4%. The Fed yesterday said that "Household spending and business fixed investment have been increasing at solid rates in recent months". The Durable goods data did not show solid business investment so maybe the Fed knows something different. The Atlanta Fed GDP Now tracker last had GDP pegged at 1.1%. Personal consumption is expected to come in at 3.3%.

PS. The GBPUSD has barely moved at 23 pips. Ranges/volatility are down.
