While we wait for the Asian markets to get active (if they ever do), here is a quick piece arguing the world is more random than we think it is
- It is human nature to see order where there is none and to see patterns that do not exist
- Not only does the human brain see order in randomness, it also has a poor grasp of probability and statistics
The author recommends two books if you want more (I read the Taleb one a long time ago, recommended indeed)
I'm not sure on the birthday problem solution though ....
