Poll of 1500 telephone interviews..
The weekly Gallop telephone poll of 1500 adults nationally is showing that Pres. Trumps approval rating stayed at 44 which was the highest level since June 11-17 week. The disapproval rating fell to 50 from 51 last week. That level is the lowest since the same June 11-17 week. The Approval minus Disapproval index is at -6 which is the narrowest since - you guessed it - the June 11-17 week.
The data shows that the on September 10-16 the approval was at 38 and disapproval at 56 for an index of -18. That was the most recent low water mark for the index.
Ahead of the mid-term elections, this is good news for the GOP (it certainly does not hurt). The midterms are one of the most important in the US as swings in the House and Senate are possible.
