Trump and Xi met Argentina at the G20

Trump put the focus back on the June 28-29 G20 meeting in an interview today. He said that if Xi blows off the event and doesn't have a meeting with Trump, then he will immediately put on tariffs.

About an hour ago, the South China Morning Post reported that a meeting is likely to be a formal sit-down dinner, citing two sources.

Trump has previously said he will decide on tariffs on an additional $300 billion in Chinese imports after the meeting.

From the SCMP:

The manner, duration and format of the meeting will be important to gauge the relationship between the two leaders and the prospect of progress toward a solution to the trade war. If confirmed, the setting of a formal sit-down negotiation would not only allow the two leaders and their aides relatively sufficient time to address their differences, but also to agree on a conciliatory tone.
