More optimism
CNBC is reporting that Chinese officials are identifying international travel dates on Trumps' calendar that might offer potential for a summit off US soil, according to 3 sources cited by CNBC. He's already planning to be in Japan at the end of May.
Previously there had been talk of Xi heading to the US but the feeling in China is that they can't risk committing to a summit and losing face if Trump makes last-minute changes to the deal.
