Speaking in parliament currently 6 Dec 2017
- Impact assessment on individual sectors of the economy not necessary at this point
- Usefulness of a detailed impact assessment is zero
- At some stage, we can at best try to quantify the different negotiating outcomes for Brexit
- We have a major contingency plan under way in a case of a no deal Brexit
- No quantitative assessment made on leaving the single customs union, but there was a qualitative one
This looks like a grilling/interrogation more than a Q&A to be honest. Anyway, they haven't touched on anything substantial so far relating to Brexit but we'll update them here as we go along.
Update: It doesn't look like there's going to be much actual Brexit talks. We're an hour into the Q&A and we're still talking about impact assessments on sectors and regions.
If anything, we'll put up a new post should there be anything relevant coming out from Davis.
