The readings here are an indicator of short-term trends in the retail and wholesale sector of the UK economy. Retail sentiment continues to dwindle further and that is not suggestive of a strong showing as we move into Q4 for the UK economy.
The pound continues to tumble on the day with cable now at the lows of 1.2747 while EUR/GBP is at the highs of 0.8909.
