Just to cheer you up on a listless Monday morning and/or give you something to rant at other than these markets here’s a story currently getting good coverage over here.
Dodging train fares is an occupational hazard for some/many in the UK (allegedly) but the case of the fund manager who evaded paying to the tune of GBP 42,500 over a period of 5 years is quite remarkable.
As is the state of our railway network that doesn’t have enough ticket-buying facilities or indeed resources to check on the various scams.
Train bosses have come under fire for not prosecuting the man described as the “biggest fare dodger in railway history”
Just goes to show what happens when you trust people’s honesty, or do you think the train companies deserve all they get ? Cheeky chappie or vile villain?
