US coronavirus - The latest Texas figures show cases up 3.3%, may be subject to weekend miscounting

Texas new case count is +8,196 to 258,658 now. The 'positivity rate' is still staggeringly high at 16.33% (7 day average), indicating testing is still falling well short and not detecting the extent of the state's outbreak.

More worryingly still, hospitalisations continue to surge, up 327 to a record high of 10,410. Today is the 14th consecutive day of record high hospitalisations. 

New cases are at a 3.3% rise, under the 7 day MA of 3.9%. As noted in the headline to the post, numbers are going to be underestimated given gaps in weekend counting.
