US DATA: NY Fed Empire State Mfg Index fell to -8.82 in Sept vs
-7.72 in Aug, below expectations ranging from -7.7 to 0.0. The new
orders index fell to -8.00 from -7.82, and the shipments index to -12.88
from 3.01. The employment index fell to -5.43 from 3.26. But Prices paid
rose to 32.61 from 28.26. The 6-mo outlook index improved to 13.04 from
8.70.
