Kirk, the trade rep, says he is concerned about new Chinese policies that limit market access for Us companies and is prepared to go to the WTO if the policies are not resolved.
Locke, the commerce secretary, says the US is carefully considering whether to investigate China’s currency policy as an illegal subsidy. Both say they want to monitor how far and how fast China will allow the Yuan to appreciate.
