The good news for Gulf oil concerns is that Sam is still out in the Atlantic as per the latest update:
The update from the NHC:
- SMALL BUT FEROCIOUS SAM STRENGTHENS SOME MORE... ...EXPECTED TO REMAIN A MAJOR HURRICANE FOR SEVERAL DAYS...
The projected path for Sam does not place the Gulf of Mexico at threat for now.
