White House Chief of Staff John Kelly is leaving the position towards the end of this month.

Nick Ayers, Vice President Mike Pence's chief of staff, was thought to be his replacement but has declined the offer.

Ayers cited:

  • rather slam his **** in a car door spend more time with his family
