Trump cheers on market
About 25 minutes after the stock market open, US President Donald Trump tweeted that it was a "good day" in the market. The S&P 500 then promptly fell 25 points and into negative territory.
The lesson should be to never tweet until the close, because it can humble anyone. But Trump may still end up being right. The S&P 500 is back into positive territory and up 4 points.
The turn has come alongside weakness in the US dollar but it's modest for now.
