Good Friday/Easter and Passover does not stop housing starts from publication.
With most markets closed for Good Friday (it is the start of Passover too), the economic calendar is also empty. However, there is one single event on the calendar with the US Census Bureau's housing start and building permits being released at 8:30 AM ET/1230 GMT
The expectations is for an annualized pace of 1225K units vs 1162K last month. Building permits are also released with expectation for 1300K vs 1291K last.
The forex market is open with minimal movement (this is not a day to get involved). Nevertheless, for good order sake, the CHF is the strongest, while the USD is the weakest. However, all the pairs are smushed together with little changes.
When I speak of those record low range days, today may make records not only in a pair or two but all major pairs and crosses.
Below are the ranges for a number of pairs with their 22 day average ranges. The largest range of the majors vs the USD is the GBPUSD at 27 pips. The USDJPY is the lowest at 11 pips. The USDCHF is -17 pips on the day, coming off the highest levels since March 2017 reached in yesterday's trading.
