Betting markets are putting something like a 90% probability against Boris Johnson remaining as Prime Minister through year end. Now, the Daily Mail reports that Johnson was told by Gove this morning before a cabinet meeting that he must quit.
Gove's absence today at parliament widely noticed.
Meanwhile, the avalanche of resignations continued with Dr Ben Spencer resigning his post as a junior minister.
