The bias in these calls is for good news. The US is mulling dropping some tariffs and China surely has some levers it could pull as well. The talk of Pelosi visiting Taiwan is a bit of a sideshow but could be a bargaining chip. Obviously the war in Ukraine will be on the agenda as well.
I wouldn't imagine the read-outs later will be big market movers but a positive tone would certainly help.
