The US admin is considering allowing Chevron to speak with
Venezuela's government.
Lifting the ban on communication with senior members of the Maduro regime would allow Chevron to prepare for a day when sanctions on Venezuela’s oil industry are lifted.
At present the US says lifting sanctions is not currently under consideration.
