The source is saying that Russian attacks have had some success in multiple areas in Ukraine but the forces have been also pushed back from a number of positions. Adding that Mariupol has not fallen yet to Russian hands.
In short, the situation on the ground is still playing out and hasn't materially changed as of yet.
