In the red for 2017
The S&P and Dow moved below their 2017 end of year closing levels last week. The Nasdaq has now joined them. The 2017 closing level was 6903.38. The price is below that level now with a low for the day at 6886.83.
The low for November came in at 6830. The April low was at 6805. The Feb low and low for the year was at 6630. Those are now targets on more selling.
Traders will be eyeing the 6903 level as a barometer for bulls and bears now.
The S&P is now down -3.31% on the year. The end of year close was at 2673.61. The current price is at 2585, -47 points or -1.63%.
The Dow is down -3.37% on the year. It's end of year close was at 24,719.22. The current price is at 23,920, down -465 points or -1.88%.
