April 9 2015: AUD is the strongest. CHF is the weakest.

As NY traders enter for the day, the AUD and the NZD are leading the way to the upside. The RBA refrained from lowering rates this week and the RBNZ has also been reluctant to lower rates to counteract lower commodity prices. Both central banks are also concerned about bubble-like housing sectors. The weakest currency is the CHF.

The USD is mixed in trading today, rising against the EUR, GBP and CHF, but falling against the JPY, CAD AUD (-0.60) and NZD (-0.62%)

US initial jobless claims are expected to rise to 283K from 268K last week. Continuing claims are expected to move to 2350K from 2325K ( released at 8:30 AM ET) also inventories for the month of February are estimated to rise by 0.2% (+0.2% last month). Wholesale trade sales are expected to rise by 0.3% vs. -3.3% last month .
